I’m honored to be starting my 2nd year at Turnberry! I absolutely adore first grade. There is so much growth that happens over the year, that there is never a dull moment. It’s important to me that each student discovers a joy in learning, where it’s a love of reading, math, or writing. Each student is unique and deserves the best instruction that suits their way of learning.
My heart outside the classroom: Spending time with my family, going on adventures with my younger sister, playing sand volleyball, shopping, eating cheesecake.

I am so excited to be back at Turnberry for my 5th year and to see all the smiling faces in our building! The students are the best part of teaching and I am ready to get to know my new class. It should be an amazing year filled with learning new things together and having fun at the same time. “No one is perfect - that’s why pencils have erasers.” – Author unknown
My heart outside of the classroom: I enjoy spending time with my husband (Spencer) and border collie (Kona), camping, hiking, reading, and enjoying the small moments in life.

This is my first year at Turnberry Elementary and I am thrilled to join an amazing staff and my 2nd-grade-daughter at her school. I have spent the past 6 years working at South Elementary in Brighton, and prior to that, I taught in Indiana. Turnberry's Thinking Classrooms represent exactly the kind of classroom I aim to have. I believe that all kids can be creative, critically-thinking problem-solvers. This ultimate goal helps all children reach their potential and feel successful.
A bit more about me: I spend a lot of time playing Sorry and other board games with my almost-seven year old daughter Lucy, kicking around a soccer ball with my four-year-old son Max, and chasing my very independent one-year-old, Joe. To keep my sanity, I love running, swimming, biking and yoga. If it is ever quiet, I'm always reading a few books. In my dream world, I'd head to the mountains every weekend to hike, camp, raft and ski.
