About me: I am proud to be a part of Brighton School District! I have been teaching in this district for 8 years, first at Henderson in 5th and 6th grades, and then I came to Turnberry when it opened four years ago.
I grew up in southern California, and began my teaching career out there until I moved to Denver in 2004. I have taught every elementary grade except 1st and 3rd. Being a teacher is a passion of mine, and it's a passion that runs in my family! Both my grandmother and my uncle were teachers and I knew from a young age that I wanted to be in a classroom as a "grown-up."
Heart: My kids, a good trail to hike on, a river to play in, a book to read, and a diet coke!

I am privileged to be beginning my 5th year teaching at Turnberry Elementary, and I am excited as I am joining the 2nd grade team! I truly have a passion for education and learning. I am currently working on my Masters in Educational Leadership through CU Denver. It is important to me that I meet the various needs of all the students in my class through differentiated instruction and by encouraging innovative ways to apply learning and solve problems.
My Heart Outside of the Classroom Includes: Spending time with the family (especially the nieces and nephews!) Mtn Biking, Camping, and Watchin’ Westerns!
