I am excited to start my 4th year at Turnberry Elementary.  Having taught 1st through 5th grade I can truly say that 3rd grade is my favorite grade to teach.  It is fun to see 3rd graders develop their thinking skill and become confident learners.

My heart outside of the classroom includes:  Seeing the many beautiful sights of Colorado with my family, watching movies and playing with our dogs and birds.

I am thrilled to be starting my 5th year at Turnberry, and 13th year in the Brighton School District. There are so many aspects of teaching that I love: it’s incredibly rewarding to see how proud a student is when he/she masters a new skill, and I love having my own little community of creative minds! Teaching children is what I love, and learning from children is even better!
My heart outside of the classroom: spending time with my husband and 2 kids, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, shopping and painting old furniture...

When I was a little girl I used to line up all my stuffed animals and read to them. I played ‘teacher’ and tried my hardest to read with as much expression as my own teachers. It’s been over a decade now of teaching and every time I open a new book, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with so many bright-eyed students. I believe all children should be encouraged to dream big, and I’m so thankful to have the chance to guide them toward success and the realization that so many of their dreams can come true.

I am very excited to be joining the staff at Turnberry.  Third grade is such a pivotal year and I look forward to helping your children grow both academically and socially.  I believe education is one way I can serve my community and I view every day as an opportunity to have a positive impact in the lives of children.

My Heart Outside the Classroom: I enjoy camping and fishing with my family and reading all types of books.
