I am excited to work with our students and families as I begin my fifth year at Turnberry Elementary. I look forward to guiding our students through their learning journey while making real world connections outside of the classroom. It is great privilege to watch our students as they realize their potential and achieve their goals.
Away from school , I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I find respite in the outdoors while rafting rivers, skiing, climbing, fishing, and hunting. I am a diehard fan of the Atlanta Braves, Atlanta Falcons, and the Iowa Hawkeyes!

I began teaching in 1978 in Powell, Wyoming.  I taught a variety of levels in my 28 years there.  These courses included; special ed.(k-5), Title 1 Reading (6th-12th), GED/learning center, Literature/computers(6th).  I also coached girls volleyball and basketball(6th-8th).  My other teaching experiences were in Phoenix, Ar. and now in Commerce City, Colo.
I truly can't believe how quickly time goes by and how I can look back at my career and still feel energetic and excited to try new challenges, for example Math this year.  I have had the privilege of teaching my own 2 children(Amanda and Andrew) and have many generations of students still checking in with me.  I know what it is like to work in the same building with close loved ones, ie;  Amanda and Drew Hall and I look forward to even teaching a grandbaby or two-maybe!  I have taken many extra courses relating to standards, curriculum and even was a 6-traits training for awhile.  I have experienced the educational pendulum and my how it does swing!  I am open to the newest ideas without throwing away the tried and true methods.  I am a team player and will never step on someone to further myself.  I use all my resources and hopefully provide resources for others.

My Heart Outside the Classroom:
Anything outdoors; skiing(water and snow) bike riding, swimming(with grandbabies) and many new adventures-golf, travel and organizing(ha)  Biggest things now are lasting friendships and lifetime memories!
